Website Background

Having been involved with computers and computer repair for more years than I care to remember, having set up a few websites and been involved on the administration side of a few others I thought it was time to set up my own website. This non commercial website has been designed as a means to share my 'labour of love' my photographs with friends, colleagues and anyone else who finds my website useful and informative..

All the photographs on this website I have taken myself (with the exception of any article material where I have included the source), the website being my own work as well build on the Joomla dynamic portal engine and content management system platform.

I first became interested in photography when I was young when one Christmas I was given a Kodak 35mm camera, but it's only in the digital age with home photo printers that my interest grew and grew. I moved on to Canon compact digital cameras which allowed me to experiment much more more before moving up to a Canon 400D digital SLR. I had a number of happy years service with the 400D before moving on to a Canon 7D which I recently replaced with a Canon 7D Mk II. I use a number of varying lenses from Canon & Sigma and will include an equipment specific comments in applicable galleries. I have been asked to take photographs at a number of events for publicity purposes which I haven't placed on the site but may do so with future events.

I can't say I favour one particular type of photography over another, the galleries on this website serve as a record of the places and events I have visited more so than a portfolio. Some photographs may be of interest to someone and not to another as they are of static items, panoramic views and sporting events that were of interest to me.
